SARA-MARIA HEINONEN - INTIMACY ON STAGE FOR ACTORS

In this Intimacy workshop we look at staged intimacy and learn a wide range of tools of how to approach different intimate scenarios on stage. The workshop is suitable for all performers.

This Workshop includes practical consent exercises and practices for it. Boundary checks and how to deal with possible boundary crossings. Language and communication skills around touch and intimacy on stage. Safe practices for approaching intimate scenarios on stage, kissing and simulated intimacy. Tools for approaching choreography in intimate scenes.

The duration of the workshop is seven hours, which includes a one-hour lunch break.

In this Workshop all the supporting materials are included in the price, which all the participants get after the Workshop.

Workshop does not include nudity or partial nudity or lip-to-lip-contact. All participants are encouraged to honor their own boundaries.

Sara-Maria Heinonen is a Helsinki based actor (i.a. Kotka 10) and an intimacy coordinator (i.a. Kikka!, Exit, Luuserit) who specializes in teaching consent and negotiation practices to actors. Sara-Maria is especially interested in exploring intimacy work as a way to inspire actors and help them to find new, interesting paths to express themselves and their artistic voice.
